A New Moon for New Direction
The New Moon Monday February 20th comes with another nuanced kite formation. This time, we sail towards Ceres - the dwarf planet that lives in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Ceres is the roman goddess of the harvest, agriculture, and earthly fertility. With Ceres as our destination we all have the opportunity to get closer to the earthly systems that keep us all alive. There is both a desire and an ability to make a home and lifestyle that is connected to the rhythms of the earth as Vesta, Cupido, and the Black Moon Lilith are behind the wheel here. This new direction is shaped by our passions and is likely outside the current status quo. With the cost of living on the rise, this aspect represents a desire for simpler way of life, perhaps one that allows us to work less and have more time to pursue our passions. The way to achieve this is by getting back to basics and we have the the motion of this kite helping us along from now until March 4th.
Ceres is in Libra indicating a desire to achieve this new lifestyle in partnership. Ceres is opposite Jupiter in Aries and Pallas in Cancer is forming a T-square with these two - meaning that now is a productive time to research what it would take to make this new lifestyle a reality. Mercury will square Uranus on February 21st so you might get a bright idea out of the blue or have an unexpected conversation shape your direction. At the end of February, Venus passes over Vesta, blessing this new direction with grace.
On another note, my advice is to do all that you can to develop mastery over your body and your health is still in effect. On February 26th, Saturn will enter the 29th degree of Aquarius, adding to the health concerns presented by Pluto in the 29th degree of Capricorn. These aspects stand to have a weakening effect on the physical form and the 29th degree is known to bring things towards crisis so do your best to hold steady.
The difficulties ahead that I keep mentioning are anchored in two big planetary shifts coming when Saturn moves into Pisces on the full moon on March 7th and when Pluto enters Aquarius after the equinox on March 23rd. Both of these events are clad with many important aspects and each one deserves its own report. I don’t like making you wait to hear more, but there is just so much to discuss. I will, however, leave you with a note from the bright side. Right before the waves start to roil, Venus meets up with Jupiter in Aries March 2nd, offering up big love. Whether it is with friends, family, pets, or your favorite pass-time, focus on the love in your life as it will be there to ground us when the seas get rough. Hasta pronto (until soon) my friends.
