Full Moon in Leo

There is so much happening in the skies right now that it is difficult to choose what to focus on. Full moons and new moons hold a charge for several weeks and so they can be an ideal place to focus when the skies are chaotic. The moon is moving into its fullest position as I type, today February 5th, 2023 11:30 GMT. The sky looks like this right now… which is a lot to look at! Here I see two important kite formations, two T-squares, and a number of important conjunctions.
Let’s start by looking at what is in aspect with our fast-paced moon as it comes to fullness in the 16th degree of Leo. A full moon is always opposite the Sun, bringing a lot of force behind it. We see The Sun and Moon form a close T-square with Uranus. Uranus rules the unexpected, which can strategically fracture the brittle parts of our life in a way that can ultimately be regenerative. This Full moon is also trine the conjunction of the asteroids Chiron and Juno. This says to me that we can bond with others who have similar life wounds. Conversely, those that we are bonded with can also hurt us now. I have been seeing a lot of aspects with Juno in 2023 that seem to say there is an opportunity to build new tribes. The way I see it, who you relate to and how you relate to one another is no longer a trivial matter, but something that will become more and more important as the year goes on. My advice is to be open to editing the group of people that you are bonded to, and also be willing to invest in new friendships and relationships that are more suited to your values and authentic self. These relations are not Saturnine, so they are not rooted in social contracts, authority, or the idea that you ‘should’ be bonded to someone, but rather are anchored in shared values.
Chiron and Juno are in a T-square with intelligent Pallas and earthly Ceres. There are two meanings here - one suggests that these new tribes will form around knowledge with a back-to-the-land theme. The other interpretation relates to the Chinese surveillance ballon that literally collected tons of intelligence about the earth itself in U.S. territory. The Chinese and U.S. charts have aspects with Juno and Chiron and so I wouldn’t be surprised if this surveillance was coordinated somehow.
The two kites that we see today are powerful, and because they are present with a full moon, they will influence the next two weeks if not the rest of the month. The kite on the left shows quick, smooth motion towards Uranus and the adjacent North Node, anchored in knowledge and love (Pallas and Venus). This adds a tender and nurturing element to any shake-ups you experience within your own status quo through Uranus’ influence. Thanks to Venus’ square with Mars, there is also the opportunity to build action around any new insights with a certain amount of ease. The events that occur now are meant to bring you progress.
The kite on the right shows the same smooth, quick motion towards transformative Pluto, rooted in the Black Moon Lilith, whose feminine power is called upon when we say “no” to what is not right for us. This kite is anchored by passionate Cupido and Vesta, who rules the home and hearth. Vesta is conjunct Neptune, allowing us to dream about our perfect home and lifestyle. These dreams are meaningful, especially with the changes ahead, so indulge yourself a bit and take note of where your dreams point. Your dreams and passions will guide you towards a path of potency.
Valentine’s Day sees Mercury join Pluto in this kite. If attached, this holiday will either bring depth and richness to your relationship, or it could be filled with intense words that shake you to your core. The Sun will be conjunct Saturn, shedding light on the true level of commitment while Venus joins Neptune in an attempt to to blur out that clarity. Your Valentine’s day will either be intense and ideal, or you could find yourself making excuses for your partner - the truth is there to see if you are willing to look.
Overall, I like the softness of these two kites. While they will expedite change and sail us towards the horizon faster than we might expect, they are both grounded in warm, loving energy that can help us prepare for the larger transitions coming in March. A good affirmation for the month of February would be this “As the world changes, so do I. I allow the changes in my life to be full of grace and love.”
While the overall mood now is serious with tender notes, there are a few things to be outright cautious about. Before Pluto enters Aquarius in late March, it will enter the 29th degree of Capricorn on February 11th. On the low side, this indicates a weakening of the physical body. I see this as a time when illness can take hold on a large scale. Another indication of this is that Mercury will be conjunct Pluto in the next week, increasing disease communicability. The best way to cope with these influences is to let go of bad health habits, releasing anything that is not serving your body. Capricorn also relates to all social and earthly realities and you will benefit from taking a similar approach in editing social and physical elements of your life based on your experiences. Remember, the Lilith Black Moon is working tangentially with Pluto which indicates that what you say no to this month will be even more important than what you say yes to. This energy encourages you to edit and remove elements of your life that aren’t serving you. It’s time to let go of the river bank and embrace what is downstream.
I’m already working on a report for March which is very full. It is likely that I won’t post this report or the next one on social media because they are somewhat political and heavy. Feel free to share with your friends via Astrologypop.com or by forwarding this email. I hope to get the next report out in the next couple of weeks. Until then, enjoy the richness of life to its fullest.
