Sparks Fly

Ready for something new and exciting? Good! This August we are all in for some surprises. Uranus has been charging up for the last month and Mars is swooping in on August 2nd to press the go button - sparks will fly! Toward what end you ask? While Uranus remains wildly unpredictable, we do have some clues. Today’s New Moon in Leo brings into focus the Mars and Uranus conjunction with the North Node in Taurus. With this aspect, you may find that a few lightning bolts are delivered right to your doorstep. The New Moon July 28th is trine Jupiter in Aries which tells me that this shift is more about the individual than the collective.

The North Node and Uranus indicate that the shifts that take place now may not appear to be rational or linear but will allow individuals the opportunity to take the next step in their personal evolution. Sparkling Uranus loves personal liberation and you can bet that will be a theme with this transit. In day-to-day life you may find that some challenges require a different approach in order to successfully tackle them. Personal and professional development both benefit from this aspect.

Mercury is in exact square to the Mars-Uranus-North Node trio and opposite Saturn forming a grand cross. Saturn will be doing his best to keep the situation from going off the rails, but will do a better job of this in September and October as he comes in for his final square to Uranus. Whatever changes are taking place, it is important to communicate them honestly and impeccably as both Mercury and Saturn are sitting back and judging how you conduct yourself.

There are other kinds of sparks that could fly this August too. The asteroid Cupido is highly active all month long and is known to promote falling in love and the experience of passion. Right now Cupido is activating the Mars, Uranus, North Node conjunction with a trine, sextiling Venus, and opposing commitment-oriented Juno. Mid-August Mercury moves in and provides a platform for any heartfelt feelings to be expressed.

Meanwhile, Venus is harmonizing with the North Node conjunction and opposing Pluto - the stage is being set for charming and powerful forces to play out - all of which will be pumped up even more by a Jupiter trine mid-month. If single, be sure to mingle - the entire month is prime for it. Astrology can tee up opportunities but you have to get out there and take advantage of them.

Whether your relationships are old or new, the brilliant individual leaps forward that you take in early August will quickly have to reckon with how they fit with the other people in your life. You’ll have Saturn to help sort this out throughout September and October so enjoy the focus and attention being on you while you can. It’s time to revel in the love and liberation in your life.
