Getting Right with Relations
The cool air of October finally arrived to say that fall is here. Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, and Jupiter were all retrograde for the last two months and Uranus joined the sleepy crew through September. With the outer planets tamed, the mundane concerns of everyday life came strongly into focus and the time hummed by busily.
Now, October is nearly past and fatherly Saturn recently broke his retrograde motion Saturday October 22nd. As Saturn wakes from his slumber, he finds himself in a very familiar square with Uranus. This is the final raking of an aspect that dominated the last two years and is one I have written extensively about.
This square will last through December 12th and brings closure to the conflicts that developed over the last two years regarding our individualism (Uranus) and our social contracts (Saturn.)
Uranus will remain retrograde until the new year, yielding to Saturn in this final spat. This square will clear up before Christmas, but will be expressive for Thanksgiving. The wisdom here is not to shirk your worldly duties or the responsibilities that you have in your personal and professional spheres. Now is the time to show up and work through the conflicts you may have with your loved ones.
Saturn is known to offer rewards for taking the high road and making good on the promises you make in your relations. However, there is another important consideration in play.
With the extended square of Mars in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces through November, there is the task of facing our failures. It might be tempting to resist this acknowledgement, and doing so could lead to being seen as desperate or deluded. Those acting out of desperation are likely to be on the losing end of whatever case they are trying to make. If you find yourself in the wrong, it is best to simply admit it and then do the work to make things right.
Now is not the time for wheeling and dealing and the best way to cope with this square is to instill your actions (Mars) with your ideals (Neptune). However, even if you are successful here, there’s no guarantee that anyone will be aware of your efforts - be prepared to go without a pat on the back.
Grounded asteroid Ceres forms a T-square with Mars and Neptune for the last two weeks of November, indicating that whatever struggles you encounter are meant to humble you and bring you back down to earth. There is refuge in nature through these trials and a walk in the woods will do wonders if you find yourself frustrated. It is absolutely beautiful this time of year so be sure to take time to enjoy the wonders of the world with those you love this fall.
